RIVA 201 Fundamentals of Moderating - this is an intensive course that teaches the skills and
techniques needed to effectively moderate focus groups. This is ideal for the researcher who has
conducted 0-20 focus groups. For references, please view here
RIVA 201 is scheduled for January 21-23, 2008 in Kuala Lumpur, and January 28-30, 2008 in Kuala Lumpur.
RIVA 202 Skill Acceleration - this course strengthens the skills of new working moderators (those
who have conducted 20-100 focus groups) through individual coaching and personalized feedback.

Naomi R. Henderson is the CEO of VISAR Corporation, parent company of RIVA Market Research & Training.
She holds a M. Ed. and a B.S. in Special Education and Psychology from American University and is a
licensed practitioner of NeuroLinguistic Programming [NLP]. She holds certificates of completion from
Synectics, as well as the Creative Problem Solving Institute and is the co-founder of the RIVA Training
Institute, where she serves as a Master Trainer. Naomi has been a researcher since 1964, and has led more
that 5,500 focus groups and interviewed more than 50,000 people in groups or individually and is a nationally
recognized Master Moderator. She writes a quarterly column for the American Marketing Association journal on
issues related to qualitative research.
Romaine Bailey is VP , Government Operations, and a part of the senior management team at. RIVA.
She holds various degrees and certificates in business; and over 12 years specialized training in
transformational, cutting edge technologies in personal development.
She has more than 20 years senior corporate level experience in finance and administration, notably
producing positive results in staff development as well as operations in these areas. Romaine has
worked for and consulted with various corporate clients, including law firms; non profits, building
development companies, and senior level recruiting companies.
Also prior to her experience at RIVA, Romaine led seminars for hundreds of people as well as individuals
in accessing areas of possibility within themselves.
She teams with RIVA trainers as coach for customized and some standard training classes.
